Neglected

I’ve been neglecting the site a little bit and I apologise to the 2 readers I have lol. A lot of things have happened recently I don’t want to get into now but I have something fun for any knitters out there to tackle. Knitting has been a great source of comfort for me recently.

I also have 4 sets of booties that need a good home!

In tan, pink, purple (2), and cream. So if you would like a pair comment. Should there be more that 5 requests I’ll do a random number generator thingy.

My bamboo knitting needles arrived. I was rather dissapointed actually. They haven’t been laquered enough and though I know they will get smoother with time at the moment I find them a little slow to work with.still I have one knit one small item. I’ll give them a fair trial soon. I quite enjoyed dipping the cord in hot water to straighten it out though lol, Mmmmm new barbie doll smell. I will investigate the milk resin type I recently heard about and maybe invest in a set of those. Thats if they come in circular points. I ♥ circular needles now. I never lose a needle now lol cos they’re attached!

Oh and I need some Double points for some little ideas I came up with and I think they would come out better if I had the correct needles and yarn.

Speaking of yarn, where in hell are all the East London Knitters?? I have searched high and low for a local wool shop and found none =C. Means long winded trips to central London for the time being then till I find some brands I am familiar and happy with. I had been using my moms old stash of baby wool but running low now T___T.

Cutie booties

All the booties

A really simple, yet very attractive bootie pattern created by moi. It’s a good idea to start both at the same time as they tend to come out the same size then.

I used Family Favourite Courtelle as it’s machine washable and has a lovely felt feel.
