Christmads Fair

Thursday 26th Nov 2009 @ 8:38 am

It’s starting to get so that I’m waking up in half light and coming home in the dark. That’s ok though, christmas is coming! Tomorrow marks one month to christmas. Are you ready? I had planned to do a whole lot of christmas crafting for family and friends. What I’ve actually done is sign up to participate in a local christmas fair… It’s on the 12th of December.

So… I’ve been being industrious and I’m making many decorations, planning how my stall will look, planning what cakes and cookies/biscuits I will make. It’s frightening and exciting all at the same time.

I tried photographing my decorations but I just can’t do them justice. I’d have another go but they are all wrapped ready to be sold now. I have to be organised you know.

I must be mad to agree to do it at such short notice but it is Christmads!

NaBloPoMo & Turkey

Monday 2nd Nov 2009 @ 1:57 pm

National Blog Posting Month or NaBloPoMo as its affectionately known
is this month. So I will try and make the effort to post every other day. Try being the operative word here.

So I was thinking about things I could blog about, thought I’d blog about our anniversary and realised I haven’t blogged about our wonderful holiday in Turkey!

We had an amazing time there. I think the first time you go away with someone can make or break a relationship. Luckily for us it was a lovely one.

We stayed in apartments in Armutulan just a stone throw away from Marmaris. Our apartment was on the top floor with balconies off the living and bedroom areas. It was lovely to be able to sit out there in the morning. We didn’t take any pictures of the inside, I guess because we didn’t spend too much time in there.

There are a lot of pictures so if you want to read on click…

There’s something about summer

Friday 1st May 2009 @ 11:44 am

As the weather starts to warm up and people start venturing in to the outdoors more there is a distinct lack of blog posts across the blogging community. Those first few weeks of sun seem to awaken everyones senses to other things they used to do, last year when it was sunny. The longer days and the crispness of the days inbetween spring and summer are probably my favourites. Hayfever is dying down, warmth is coming and the sun is out that little bit longer. You can wear less and less clothes, avoid wearing a jacket if you want to and the icecream van comes round! Nothing better than a Mr. Whippy on a lovely day.

I really do hope this year that we have a nice summer with plenty of hot days, good amounts of rain (so the plants don’t die) and plenty of Mr. Whippy.

Also it was Sean and I’s 6 month anniversary yesterday. To celebrate we half reneacted our first date. We met at London Bridge at All Bar One and then went for Nando’s for chicken where I stuffed my self silly. Chicken, good, perinaise, good, sweet potato mash… GOOD! To top it all off I had cheesecake AND icecream. I’m going to grow a snout and trotters I know.

We had a lovely time, 6 months more please.

Happy New Year!

Sunday 6th Jan 2008 @ 8:52 pm

Better late than never huh? Well I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year cos I sure did. I spent the Christmas with my mom and sister and New Years with Roars and Richard. Much fun was had by all. So much fin that I really don’t have much to show you craft wise. Thank goodness for that some of you must be saying!

Having no camera sucks as I can’t show you anything I got or did. Pictureless blogging isn’t as fun but I will try any way.

I got great thoughtful presents this year, A new monitor for my PC YAY! A lovely new Jewellery box, Dog tags from my baby sis, perfume, Lil miss naughty PJ’s, a moo cow breakfast set and masses of chocolate! I could of lived off chocolate for the past 2 weeks lol. Half of it had nuts in so had to be given away but I enjoyed the other half. I still have a few more gifts to give and receive also! I felt very blessed this year. So I can tick a few things off my sales shopping list.

I haven’t found a camera yet. I’d like another Canon I know that much but maybe something a bit more advanced than my last one. I’m still a bit undecided though so it will have to wait.

What I have done is finish Lili the amigurumi doll. She now has a second dress shoes, hat and even her very own pinwheel jacket! She’s very happy her knickers aren’t showing and will stop by soon to say hi. I finished the strawberry’s and cream pinwheel too. Came out a little on the small side for some reason. I’m happy with it any way.

Oh and the site was sposed to change over to it’s new host but due to an error on my part the files were moved to the wrong place. So they will be moved later on in the month when I have time.

Speaking of time, finally met my friend Lee who lives in Cape Verde. He was here visiting his parents. Took him a while to get the courage to visit though. Am I that scary?? It was nice to meet after being online friends for almost 3 years. I hope to go out there to visit at some point.

So christmas is over now. The decorations were taken down and everything looks bare and suddenly more spacious…That’s nice at least.

Here’s hoping for a great 2008!

Super Busy

Friday 21st Dec 2007 @ 1:32 am

I’m still alive, just! Managed to finish the main bit’s and pieces. Camera is still being temperamental so no pics but just as well really in case anyone reads my blog and sees what they are getting. Dark look at snoopers. Feel relieved it’s Friday tomorrow and Saturday I leave for my mom’s and a bit of R and R. Haven’t been blogging much cos right now I’m on dial up. Don’t even ask why or I may start cursing. Totally sucks because no one uses dial up any more and I can barely load any site at that speed without it taking half an hour! So I didn’t really want to try and blog and have it wipe my post with a time out.

So obviously I won’t be around much over christmas. I will try and log on at my moms but prolly will be too busy getting merry LOL. I am really looking forward to the Hello Kitty KAL that starts christmas eve. IF I can find some suitable wool. I don’t fancy a trip up the west end during christmas time . Scary. Might have to though if I want to get started on time. I wish I had chosen the Knit version rather than the crochet version because it looks uber cute but I’m sure the adults is just as cute just not so clear an image with the small pics. Oh and I’ve never felted anything before so that’s kinda scary too. Must remember to look up felting.

So no recent pics for you sorry about that. Here’s some flowers to satiate you till next time…

Pwetty flowers

Merry Christmas!

Introducing…

Wednesday 12th Dec 2007 @ 4:37 pm

A Mystery Amigurumi!

Or Ama as I have named him. He stands at 9 inches tall and stand he does, all by himself. He sports a rather festive cape. He also should have a Jumper but his little bear chest (Haha) will have to go cold. I made it way too small for his rather rotund belly. He has a cute jingle bell on the end of his hood peak too.

Ama

This is the reason I wanted to start knitting and crocheting again. To bring my many little characters to life.

I also bought some blue so look out for a raindrop plushie to come! What I really want to make though is my very first original characters, Piggy Pals. I’ve yet to find a yarn in the right colourway to do them justice though.

I’ve had very good reviews on Ama so far and though he’s destined for my aunts house. I plan to make more to sell. Possibly a bit late for Christmas. Never mind.

Anyone here interested in purchasing a bear, if any, would you please contact me giving a rough idea of what you’d pay for a toy like this. All enquirers received will get first preference on new toys at a special discounted rate..
