Hello December!

As my new HK diary says ;)). I start the month stuck :(. I can’t find a face for my doll. I think she should have big eyes but the buttons just don’t look right. Embroidery is not my forte so I don’t think that’s the way to go either. I don’t want to mess up her head. I’m thinking some felt disks may be the way to go so add that to my shopping list. As for a mouth… I always think mouths on fabric dolls look odd. I dunno, I think she looks lovely as is and don’t want to spoil her!

Other than that today is Christmas decorations time! woot! I already put up the Christmas tree bar the lights and star. I wasn’t expecting to be home this weekend. So just the lights for the windows (The kind that fade in and out) and the ceiling decorations (My paper stars) to do.

In the usual starry fashion I wandered off half way through this post to get started. I can’t help it, I love Christmas! Windows are now done lights on tree and I’ll put the star on later when I switch on the lights. I think the windows look especially nice this year. I would go take pictures but my neighbours might think me crazy in my PJ’s, mad hair and all. Besides I think it needs to be dark with the lights on for the best effect.While I’ve got all the furniture out though, going to have a vacuum behind there and pick up all the things (There you are Hello Kitty pen!) I hadn’t even realised had fallen down there. Surprisingly undusty though.

I’ve been ill yet again :(. The doc just says “well that’s to be expected”. Stupid doctors! On Wednesday I woke up to a temperature of 39 (102 F). I felt awful eyes all stuck together head banging. Made appointment for the docs but just couldn’t get the energy to get up. So I cancelled it and phoned NHS direct instead for advice. NHS direct rock but their self diagnoses thing frightened the hell out of me! As I was calling decided to do it while I waited and the diagnosis? Dial 999 or get to a doctor immediately! I guess I must have answered a question wrong somewhere but it freaked me out lol. The lady I talked to was very nice and told me to get out from my 100 duvets and cool myself down :(. I did not wanna get out from under those duvets at all. So I did it gradually ;)). I cheated but it worked. Temperature gradually dropped with the aid of some water and ice cold apple juice too. By Thursday afternoon I was feeling a whole lot better Temperature was back to normal and my eyes are better but not quite back to normal.

So on the plus side for you guys when I’m sick I craft and my knitting being a bit too fiddly at this stage I opted to do some paper craft. Obviously this was when I was feeling a little better. So I have a brand new tutorial for you guys.

Really took my mind off of being sick anf now I have a whole new set of Christmas decorations! Seeing as these are made of paper and probably won’t last I think I’ll use the crocheted balls another year or even sell them they came out nice.

These are very addictive too so don’t blame me if you suddenly find it’s midnight and all you’ve done all day is make stars (*Cough* like starry).

Oh and I apologise profusely for the dire photographs. Camera is still not working properly and though I can sometimes get good photo’s today is not one of those days. In addition to that although feeling well right now I think fiddling with it would just infuriate me.

So I hope that makes up for the lack of posts. Guess I better give up on the post a day award lol.

Geez times gone quick. Halloween kinda snuck up on me I thought I had nothing halloweenie for you guys but I do!

I forgot about these guys! I haven’t done one for so long… Meet Beth and Zak, opposites attract. ;))
