I’m so annoyed! Yesterday fantastico (A script installer for you non techie people) told me that my wordpress was out of date so update. So I take the trouble to update which I don’t normally do and it goes and DOWNGRADES my wordpress to 2.2! I don’t notice this however so I spend most of Sunday trying to figure out what the hell is going on! After messing around with it for what seems like years. I scroll down the page to click the handy link to the wordpress support forums in my control panel and notice above the link my version number is 2.2.2. I was so annoyed. It’s messed up the whole blog if you can see. I now have about 100 categories though I’ve deleted some with things like “a” and “the” as categories and my tags cloud has loads of tags in it that I never made.
Also I’m starting to think the people at the wordpress forums have a grudge against me as they never answer my support questions. For a whole year I have had not one of my questions answered after I had this one mini argument with one guy.
I was asking about creating administrator comments separate to user comments. Then said comments would be paged. I’d seen a site doing it and wanted to know how it was done. Some one there then told me it was nonsense and all I said back was there was no need to be rude. Since then no one responds to any of my posts. I had to get my sister to sign up an account and ask pretty much the same question to get any response.
First off if they had a problem with me they just should of said and second so what I’m just blacklisted with no warning? That did not help my day any!
So I’ve got the site functioning at least. Some of you may have noticed the down for maintenance page being up several times yesterday.
If you notice any broken links I would appreciate you letting me know. Some pagination is broken I think.
On top of this I popped my wrist and it hurts like hell. I dunno how I did that. I think I have to go docs as it isn’t getting any better and I keep dropping things. I burnt my head when I was relaxing it and I don’t mean a little burnt I mean properly. I wouldn’t mind but my hair isn’t even straight grrr! I shoulda waited for my sister to do it for me but I was impatient it was driving me nuts. So I will be nappy headed for my birthday great!
Then a face from the past popped out and though I know I shouldn’t have listened to all his BS I did and then kicked myself afterwards. He’s not changed one bit and I don’t know why but he can still get me like that.
All things aside I actually quite enjoyed my weekend. I know I know, I’m a weirdo ;)). I did get to catch up on some reading, do a bit of knitting, finish up some crochet, do some washing etc etc. My chest is also feeling a lot lighter too so that helped my well being. It was just all those things happening sunday that had me screaming for a bit. Again today I’m in pretty good moods. Had a good sleep last night. Although I woke up with a start thinking I’m late then realising the clocks went back haha. I’ve also had me some pretty weird and amusing conversations this morning. Set to be a good week!
